Commuters travelling between Essex and London are this morning facing disruption due to an earlier track-side fire.

The blaze broke out between London Liverpool Street and Stratford but has now been extinguished

Glowing embers left on the tracks continue to cause disruption.

Services to and from London Liverpool Street remained affected, with delays expected until further notice.

Routes impacted included Colchester Town, Southend Victoria, Clacton-on-Sea, Norwich, and Ipswich.

Trains can now run as normal; however, delays may still occur whilst we restore the train service to the normal timetable.
