A charity golf day raised a record total for a lifesaving cause.
The Essex Golf and Country Club Seniors raised £6,850 for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAA) during their annual charity day.
The cheque donation and presentation, which is an annual event, happened last week when vice-captain Pete Sutton presented the cheque to EHAA representative Clair Mitchell.
Mr Sutton said: "The EGCC Seniors section are delighted to have raised this amount for the EHAA.
"We are forever conscious of the essential lifesaving services provided by the EHAA and the cost of doing so."
This is the highest sum raised since the event began and marks a new milestone for the long-running fundraiser.
The open competition, held in April and sponsored by Hobbs Estates, included a day of golf, a two-course carvery meal, and a raffle and auction to support the cause.
The charity golf day also featured a range of individual competitions such as the straightest drive title and the putting competition.
In the team event, Paul Wolton and Mark Nottage finished as runners-up, while this year's overall winners were Lloyd and Kellie S-W.
The Essex Golf and Country Club Seniors thanked everyone who took part, donated prizes or supported the event.
Their efforts helped raise vital funds for the lifesaving work of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
