An Essex entertainment venue has claimed that a major retailer has been selling unauthorised deals on their behalf.

Madison Heights in Maldon has alleged that discount site Wowcher has created and sold deals for its venue without permission.

In a post on their official Facebook page on 12 July, the Park Drive attraction told customers it had been "brought to our attention that Wowcher have created deals for our venue without our permission" and urged people not to purchase any of the offers currently circulating online.

The multi-activity centre, which describes itself as a "premier family entertainment & party venue," said only deals advertised directly by Madison Heights via its social media channels, external posters, and at Promenade Park will be honoured at the venue.

The business went on to warn that it "will not be accepting any Wowcher vouchers now or in the future" and advised anyone who has already bought one of the disputed deals to request a refund from Wowcher rather than from Madison Heights.

Wowcher has been approached for comment.
