An Italian restaurant is set to reopen following a period of closure.
Taste of Italy, based at Colchester Leisure Park, will welcome customers back from Thursday, July 16, after completing upgrades and improvements.
The independent, family-run restaurant was among the early arrivals at the Northern Gateway site but closed temporarily to refresh its offering in September 2025.
Lucia Pronesti and Sergio Teacu, owners of Taste of Italy, said: "We are thrilled to be reopening at Colchester Leisure Park and to welcome customers back following our recent improvements.
"We’re looking forward to building on the support we’ve already received and being part of this growing destination."
Colchester Leisure Park, which continues to attract visitors with new venues, is now around 95 per cent occupied, with only three units remaining.

Councillor Alison Jay, portfolio holder for economic growth, transformation and digital at Colchester City Council, said: "Colchester Leisure Park is continuing to take shape as a vibrant destination for residents and visitors, and it’s great to see Taste of Italy reopening as part of that growing offer.
"Together with the venues that have already opened and those still to come, it adds to the range of experiences available and gives people even more reasons to visit."
This year has already seen the opening of Vue Cinema and Clip ‘n Climb at the park.
Taste of Italy serves authentic Italian dishes made with daily-prepared fresh dough and traditional recipes.
The restaurant aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends to enjoy classic favourites like pizza and pasta alongside Italian drinks and desserts.
Its return is seen as another positive step for the growing leisure destination.
In the coming months, additional venues are expected to be announced, which the council say will further strengthen the appeal of the Northern Gateway.
