Engineers are continuing to work on faulty traffic lights on Cowdray Avenue near McDonald’s and Leisure World after a “complex” equipment issue left the signals out of action.
The issue was first noticed on the evening of June 19.
An Essex County Council spokesman confirmed engineers remain on site dealing with a "complex signal controller equipment fault," which has so far proved difficult to repair.
Despite several attempts to restore the lights to normal operation, the problem is still unresolved.
The council said it is not yet clear when the traffic lights will be fixed.

The authority had been contacted after reports that the signals were not working late last night on Cowdray Avenue.
Drivers using the busy junction near McDonald’s and Leisure World are being urged to approach with caution while the fault continues.
Further updates are expected once engineers have identified a permanent fix for the controller issue.
