A main route towards London is facing disruption this afternoon.
The A12 Londonbound is currently blocked between Junction 25 for Marks Tey and Junction 24 for Kelvedon following a reported crash, with traffic beginning to build on the approach to the closure.
Drivers are already seeing delays in the area as vehicles are brought to a halt.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, check their route before setting off, and consider alternative options while the incident is being dealt with.
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
