A man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious incident in Colchester.
Joseph Knox, 21, of Hyena Drive in Colchester, is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today, April 17.
The charge follows an investigation launched after a man was seriously injured in the Colchester area on Tuesday, April 14.
The victim remains in hospital.

Officers are appealing for public assistance as they continue their enquiries.
Police are particularly keen to trace the movements of a black MG car in the Stanway area.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We’re asking drivers who were in the Stanway area between 6.15am and 7am on the day to check their dash cam to see if they have captured footage of a black MG car, displaying registration LJ75OZY, on the morning of Tuesday, April 14.
"We’d also ask residents and businesses to check CCTV and doorbell footage to see if they have captured anything."
Anyone with footage or information is urged to contact police.
