A Colchester curtain manufacturer has gone into liquidation.

Sudbury Curtain Workroom, based at Severalls Business Park, has been put into creditors' voluntary liquidation.

The company, also known as Sudbury Curtain Contracts Limited, had joint liquidators put in place on February 25, 2026, as reported in The London Gazette on March 2, 2026.

The company manufactured made-to-measure curtains and blinds, serving both private and commercial customers.

Some of its clients included show houses, hotels, and banks, as well as schools, retailers, conference centres, and property developers.

The company was registered as a micro entity, meaning it had a turnover of less than £632,000, a balance sheet of under £632,000, and less than ten employees.

The company's last accounts were made up to 31 January, 2025, while the next set, covering the period to 31 January, 2026, were due by 31 October, 2026.

The business was incorporated on October 30, 2001.

The company's active directors had consisted of Juliana Galvin, of Boxford, Sudbury, Suffolk, and Elizabeth Meston, of Mistley, Manningtree, Essex, who also served as company secretary.
