FEARS that consumers could be hit by a spike in petrol prices are rising following a series of US airstrikes in Iran.
US forces attacked the oil-rich Arab state on Saturday, killing 40 officials, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Oil prices have hit their highest in 14 months, and president of the AA, Edmund King, told The Times the turmoil “will surely be a catalyst to disrupt oil distribution globally, which will inevitably lead to price hikes”.
