A training provider hosted a successful autism inclusive event in Earls Colne, aiming to offer support and educate the community.
Last weekend, residents, families and support organisations attended an autism-inclusive community event at the village Recreation Club.
Hosted by Training2Care, the event came as part of the autism inclusive project in Earls Colne, seeing attendees take part in activities as well as specialists giving advice.
Attendees praised the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to meet others with shared experiences while learning more about autism-friendly support in the area.

Organisers have shared their thanks to the wide range of organisations whose involvement made the day possible including ACE Music Therapy, Autism Anglia, Autism Reality Experience, Carers First, Braintree District Council, Essex Family Forum, Inspire Social Care Services, Essex Wellbeing Service, Evergreen CIC, Just Being Me Events, Chaotic.Souls.Clothing and Essex Dental, Underdog Crew and Autism Reality Experience.
Training2Care said the good attendance from local residents played a vital role in the day’s success.
They added: “Seeing so many families, carers and community members engaging with services and enjoying the activities shows just how important inclusive events like this are for the village.
Following the positive response, organisers hope to build on this momentum and continue creating opportunities.
