COLCHESTER Prep and High School is celebrating an outstanding result in its latest inspection.
The school was visited by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), who found the school fully compliant with all regulatory standards.

Inspectors highlighted the strong sense of empathy, responsibility, and kindness among pupils.
The ISI report said: "Leaders at all levels have established a culture that prioritises pupils’ wellbeing, collaboration, and discovery.
"Pupils throughout the school have a highly developed sense of empathy and responsibility and pupils exhibit positive behaviour... and are welcoming and polite.

"They support one another, celebrate differences and contribute positively to the school community."
The quality of teaching was also praised.
The report said: "Teaching throughout the school encourages pupils to think critically, reflect purposefully and articulate their ideas confidently across subjects."
"Leaders have established a curriculum that focuses on developing inspirational leaders and changemakers.
"This is reflected in a wide range of leadership opportunities and the development of a curriculum that integrates STEAM into a single, cohesive learning framework."
Early Years provision was also praised for placing a strong emphasis on developing early literacy and numeracy skills, while the STEAM curriculum helps prepare pupils for the future.

The ISI outcome represents the highest possible result under the current inspection framework.
