There is still plenty of time to secure your place at the University of Essex to begin studying in 2026.
Applications can be submitted at Essex from now and there is still a couple of weeks until the UCAS equal consideration deadline on January 14.
This means any applications submitted prior to the date will be assessed equally by universities regardless of when they were submitted.
Most of their courses will remain open until June before courses with remaining places will open for clearing in July.
Entry Requirements for the University of Essex
For most of their courses, the A-level entry requirements are BBB-BBC or 120-112 UCAS tariff points.

Entry requirements during clearing may be lower, so don't hesitate to enquire even if you don't meet the grades listed above.
A typical offer will require you to achieve specific grades in three A-levels.
They will also happy consider your application if you are taking a mixture of A-levels and BTEC qualifications and other UK qualifications and equivalent international qualifications.
What to include in your application
- Details of all qualifications, including those you may have not finished yet and any predicted grades

- A suitable reference - usually a teacher from your school or college, or from an employer
- Evidence you meet the English Language requirement - GCSE English language or English literature.
