Shoppers defied the grey skies and wet weather as they filled Colchester’s city centre with Christmas spirit.
Colchester’s Christmas market returned to High Street and St Nicholas Square on Sunday.
Organised by the Colchester Business Improvement District, the market included live music, street performers, gift and food stalls, as well as funfair rides.
Despite the unpleasant weather, residents and visitors flocked to the city centre for the seasonal market for their Christmas shopping.
