A POLITICAL party run by former Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn is looking to make waves in Colchester.
Members of Your Party, the new left political organisation founded by Mr Corbyn and Zarah Sultana was launched in July.
Based on a commitment to genuine socialism and equality, the party is opposed to war, racism and oppression.
A series of regional assemblies have been called across the country where members can debate policies and lay down the foundations of the party.
They say around 800,000 people have already registered interest.
The event will take place in Colchester at the JobServe Community Stadium on Saturday, October 25.
They aim to changed the system they claim is rigged.
The reason for launching the party on their website states: "Your Party was launched to found a political party that was an alternative to the status quo and to decades of neoliberalism, austerity and the demonisation of refugees and marginalised communities.
"The founding process is being stewarded by the six members of the Independent Alliance. This isn’t just another political party.
"It’s about doing politics differently, where decisions are shaped by all of us, power is returned to communities, and principles come first."
