Asda Rewards is a loyalty program that allows customers to earn "Asda Pounds" in supermarkets and build a Cashpot.
According to the retailer, you can then convert into vouchers for money off your future Asda shopping.
Customers earn cash by completing in-app missions, buying specific "Star" products, and purchasing fuel at participating stations. However, it is currently getting a hammering online.

One annoyed shopper said: "Why has the @asda Rewards Card turned to absolute garbage?! You earn nothing back, no star items, I spend £100's and there's nothing to show for it. Might has well go to Tesco".
Some other disgruntled customer posted: "Asda Rewards has become so pointless. No blue light card, no star buys anymore and you’ve got to spend £600 in 1 month if you want £5.20 in your cash pot".
One shopper, who we have heavily redacted, commented: "Asda Rewards is the most f****** pointless thing on this planet. Swear I spend about £200-300 there a month and get **** all".
Changing tactics, another shopper tried the polite approach: "Dear @asda @AsdaServiceTeamthis is my third time of asking but can you explain how your ‘rewards’ system now words as I scan my rewards card every time I shop at Asda, but I’ve noticed that my ‘cashpot’ amount isn’t increasing. Don’t customers get points anymore?"

Whereas this shopper had just had enough: "Think it’s time to cancel the delivery pass , never have the counter pizza in stock no matter when it’s ordered, every other order is covered in leaking milk and don’t even get me started on how rubbish asda rewards has become."
Another added: "what’s the point now of the Asda rewards app seeing as there’s no rewards anymore . Should I delete it ? It owes me 81p"
Finally, one shopper said: "I love how useless the Asda Rewards app is now".
Newsquest have approached Asda for comment.
