Train services are being cancelled towards Colchester and London after a person was hit by a train between Chelmsford and Shenfield.
Services heading towards London are being cancelled and all lines are affected due to an incident.
The incident happened at around 6pm between Chelmsford and Shenfield, with services between the two station cancelled.
This has also impacted trains travelling to London Liverpool Street, Braintree, Colchester Town, Clacton, Ipswich and Norwich.
At present, train services are unable to run through Chelmsford in both directions until the emergency services have finished their investigations.
Norwich/Ipswich and Clacton on Sea to Liverpool Street services will terminate/start at Colchester or Witham.
A shuttle service will operate on the Braintree branch.
