Aldi jobs: 1,000 vacancies at UK supermarket this year

Aldi is looking to fill more than 1,000 vacant job roles as it ramps up its store openings for the rest of the year.

The supermarket chain is actively recruiting for the new store roles.

The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket, which already operates more than 1,050 stores and employs over 45,000 people, is hiring for a wide range of store-level positions.

These include Store Assistants, Store Cleaners, and Store Apprentices, as well as opportunities in management.

Aldi offers industry-leading pay, with Store Assistants earning a starting hourly rate of £12.75 nationally, increasing to £13.66, based on the length of service. In London, the starting rate is £14.05 per hour, rising to £14.35.

Hundreds of roles are available throughout the remainder of 2025 in locations such as Fulham Broadway in London and Caterham in Surrey.

Aldi pay-rise for workers

Earlier this year, Aldi increased its minimum hourly rate to £12.71, up from £12.40 an hour.
