Train lines are still affected across north Essex and Colchester due to an earlier points failure at Manningtree.
Network Rail has informed Greater Anglia, London bound trains passing through Manningtree will need to operate at reduced speeds due to a fault with the signalling system.
Consequently, delays and last-minute schedule changes are expected until the issue is fixed.
On their X account, Greater Anglia also said: "Please note that there have been previous disruptions caused by an earlier points failure.
"We are collaborating closely with Network Rail to restore normal operations as quickly as possible."
They also said: "We have limited accessible rail replacement buses operating between Manningtree and Harwich Town."
The routes which are currently affected are as follows:
- Liverpool Street - Clacton-on-Sea
- Liverpool Street - Colchester Town
- Manningtree - Harwich Town
- Liverpool Street - Norwich/Ipswich
Trains running through these stations may not only be delayed but also cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until further notice.
