A Colchester auction house is set to sell off an incredible collection of Star Wars memorabilia.
Reeman Dansie, in Wyncolls Road, is preparing for its annual toy sale with an intergalactic bang, as more than 350 items from a Star Wars collection will go under the hammer.
The items, which comprises largely of one person’s private collection, includes helmet replicas, action figures and weapon replicas, totalling 383 pieces for sale.
Auctioneer Chris Leeson said: “This sale is mainly from one person’s collection and includes quite a large number of light sabre weapons, action figures of all the characters in the Star Wars film series, as well as a lot of models of the space ships, such as the Millenium Falcon, and the star fighters.

“It is quite a modern collection, which started probably in the early 2000s. It is a typical collection somebody very interested in the films would get together, but it would have taken them at least ten years.
“The collection is quite extensive for one person to collect.”
The sale marks a first for the auction house, as there has not been a toy sale solely focusing on the popular franchise.
Set in a fictional galaxy, the franchise tells the stories of a civil war and the fight between good and evil over several generations and storylines.

Originally debuting with Episode IV A New Hope in 1977, the story is based on the famous characters created by American filmmaker George Lucas.
Fascinating generations of fans, the series is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Episode III Revenge of the Sith this year, once again bringing the series into the spotlight.
Mr Leeson said: “I’m sure that the sale will attract a lot of attention within the fanbase as the series enjoys a huge popularity.”
Reeman Dansie’s live auction Star Wars: New Hope Beyond The Galaxy includes items between a price range of £10-£25 and £2,000-£3,000 for a replica of a sail barge.
The auction will take place in person and online on April 2 at 2pm.
