Greater Anglia have announced their 'rail sale', which could save travellers 50 per cent and grab a ticket from Colchester to London Liverpool Street for £5.
Those looking to travel between January 17 and March 31 can grab 50 per cent off tickets across Essex, including Colchester.
The offer is for the first two million tickets bought across Great Britain to celebrate 2025 marking 200 years of train travel.
The £5 price applies to single tickets from Colchester to London Liverpool Street and return tickets can be purchased for £10.
To find these tickets, train users need to search for their cheapest advance tickets, three days in advance for travel.
The sale ends on January 20.
This sale also applies from train users coming from Clacton-on-Sea and Manningtree, who can grab a ticket for £5 and a £10 return.
