A STALKING prevention order has been issued against a Colchester man to protect two women.
Kieran Hibble was given the order by Magistrates in Chelmsford on last Thursday,
The interim order has been put in place until July by the court while an application for stalking prevention order is determined.
The order bans the 27-year-old, of Rawlings Crescent, from making any contact with the two women, physically approaching either or using any vehicle to deliberately cause distress or make excessive noise.
It also includes making reference to either woman on social media or creating any social media account under a pseudonym or alias.
He is also banned from entering defined the St John’s and Shrub End areas of Colchester.
Hibble must also provide police with access to his social media accounts, mobile phones, computers, tablets when required.
Each condition will be strictly monitored by officers from Colchester's domestic abuse problem solving team.
Any proven breach of the interim order would make Hibble liable for a prison sentence of up to five years.
Sgt Sonia Mirrington-French, from the team, said: “This interim order provides protection for these two women, and I can guarantee that each of these conditions will be rigorously enforced by our officers whilst it is in place.
“Our domestic teams work day and night to ensure those people who pose a risk to women and girls in Essex are monitored – when that’s the appropriate tactic to use – but as this example shows, we will also enforce upon them when the situation calls for it.
“Women do not have to put up with Kieran Hibble’s behaviour – and we will ensure they no longer have to.”
