A PIZZA chain has made it one step closer to opening a brand new store in Colchester after the council approve plans for its new signs.
The council has approved blueprints submitted for fascia signs to be installed for Fireaway, which is taking on a lot in the High Street.
Documents show the transformation from a dry cleaners to a Fireaway.
Fireaway, a UK-based pizza restaurant, has gotten closer to opening up its first branch in the High Street after the council approved plans for brand new signs.
The shop sources ingredients from the UK and Italy, the tomato sauce is imported from the mountains of Naples and its flour is from the mills of Milan.
A spokesman for the company said: "We stand out as the best pizza spot, thanks to our unique taste. We are sure you’re the next to join our long list of loyal and happy customers who come back again and again because of the uniqueness of our pizza."
Fireaway tried to open a new restaurant in Colchester High Street in 2021 as part of its huge expansion plan.
However, the plans – including a new signage featuring the Fireaway brand – were withdrawn without former comment, according to Colchester Council’s planning portal, in April 2022.
