A MAN has denied a child sex offence which allegedly involved a young girl.
Robert Kent, of Lethe Grove, Colchester, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday to face one charge of inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The offence allegedly took place in November 2022.
Kent, 61, who appeared in the dock wearing a blue shirt and navy jacket, denied the charge.
He was told by Recorder Sarah Przybylska that the trial - which is likely to last three days - will take place on the week beginning Monday, August 18, 2025.
