A 24-year-old man accused of rape will have to wait until March 2026 for his trial to take place due to delays in the criminal justice system.
Kalem Hill appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday, September 19, for a plea and trial preparation hearing via video link.
Hill, of Darlington Road, County Durham, pleaded not guilty to raping a woman in Colchester between October 1 and October 31, 2022.
His trial, which is expected to last three or four days, will get underway on March 30, 2026.
He is on conditional bail.
