A STALKER who threatened to set his victim on fire has been sentenced to a restraining order until 2026.
Marcus Allen, 21, sent a series of unwanted and abusive text messages to his victim in May.
Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court heard how Allen had threatened to set his victim on fire, attended her address, and then sent her a photo of her house.
Allen, of Crown Bays Road, Colchester, admitted one charge of stalking involving fear or violence.
He was ordered to complete six months of mental health treatment and will be kept on an electronic tag monitoring his whereabouts until February 2025.
Allen was also given a restraining order which will last until February 2026 and must pay £199 in costs.
