HOMES in a Colchester postcode are still without power following an “unexpected power cut” last night.
The UK Power Networks (UKPN) website became aware of a power cut affecting the CO3 3 area last night, August 28, at 11.28pm.
A team of engineers were then dispatched to the area to investigate.
It is believed only 11 homes in the CO3 3 area have been affected by this power outage.
A statement on the UKPN website said: We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.
“We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly.”
The power outage has been caused after a fault occurred on an underground electricity cable affecting the local area, we may have to dig up the road to carry out repairs.
Although the UKPN power outage map shows the whole CO3 3 area, it is typically only one road affected in the area.
Power is hoped to be restored between 9.30am to 10.30am this morning.
