CLASSIC car lovers have until Friday to enter their motors for the annual Essex Classic Vehicle Show in Colchester next month.

The event, which is now in its eighth year, raises thousands of pounds for the charity Headway Essex.

The charity is hopeful the money brought in from the event will allow it to continue supporting individuals who have an acquired brain injury.

More than 200 vehicles have already entered the event, but organisers are putting together a final push for individuals to enter their classic cars, motorbikes, and campervans for the show which will be held from 10.30am until 4.30pm on Sunday, September 22.

Visitors will be able to gain a close-up view of the vehicles on display, with arena shows featuring two vehicles of special interest to the crowds.

The different competition categories include pre-war cars, British cars, the modern classic, and vehicle of the show.

As in previous years, there will be plenty of other entertainment on offer throughout the day, including displays from parkour specialists Team Kinetix.

Tickets for the event at Castle Park cost £6 for adults, £3 for children and concessions, and £14 for families.

Children younger than three are allowed in free of charge.
