ESSEX Police are investigating the death of a cyclist in his 70s who was hit by a car on Friday near West Bergholt.
Essex Police were called to the scene, in Argents Lane, near West Bergholt, at around 12.20pm on Friday July 5.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been informed and are also being supported.
A 69-year-old woman, from Colchester, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The woman was released under investigation while Essex Police enquiries continue.
