A TEN-YEAR-OLD Colchester boy has launched a rice pudding initiative which aims to help homeless after being inspired by a business bootcamp for kids.
Adam Mohamed is a recent graduate from the new BusinessKids Entrepreneurial Camp – which was opened this April in Colchester by former Mayor John Jowers.
The business camp was set up by Lyndee Oscar, managing director of children BussinessKids - an educational company based in Colchester.
Adam has been making rice pudding since the age of seven and through the camp took the “proactive step” in developing his business initiative called RICE (Reaching Individuals, Community, and Everyone).
Adam has also now started selling his rice pudding at the GO4 Enterprise Café on the REC and now aims to support Beacon House Ministries, a homelessness charity, by preparing and supplying homemade rice pudding to those in need.
Lyndee Oscar said that the Adam was “deeply passionate” about making a difference in the community and added: “Adam is an excellent example of a young entrepreneur filled with leadership and vision fostering community joy”.
Lyndee also revealed that Adam is now asking for Tesco’s support in providing the “necessary ingredients” to help make RICE a community-focused organisation.
BusinessKids next Entrepreneurial Camp starts July 29 and for further details visit www.businesskids.uk.
