A THORRINGTON pre-school celebrated being praised by watchdogs with a tea party for parents, children and staff.
Ladybirds Pre-school was rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in May following an inspection in December.
Children and families enjoyed outside activities and shared cakes before posing for a celebratory photograph to mark the occasion.
A school spokesman said: “A really super day was had by all. It was fantastic to have so many families and friends with us.
“We are very proud of our Ladybirds and our report, which contained some amazing comments”.
Quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management were all rated outstanding by inspectors.
The report said the staff “deliver an exciting and challenging curriculum” and that “all children attending make rapid progress”.
The report also said that “staff have extremely high expectations of children's behaviour” which is “exemplary”, and that staff also create “an exciting outdoor environment” where children work together.
There are currently 25 children on the roll with a total number of 30 places for children aged between two and four in the full day care pre-school.
