A NEW Japanese restaurant at an under-construction leisure park will be bigger than better than expected after an expansion bid was approved.
Joyato Sushi and Grill is taking on a unit at the Northern Gateway Leisure Park in Colchester.
Colchester Council has approved blueprints for a mezzanine floor to be installed at the unit near junction 28 of the A12.
The restaurant’s boss hopes the expansion will provide “additional restaurant area, customer toilets, and staff areas”.
Myland Community Council wrote to planning bosses to confirm it had no objections to the proposals.
