A man from Colchester has been charged with 23 offences following investigations into shoplifting across Colchester.
A 37-year-old man has been charged with 18 shop theft offences and five breaches of a criminal behaviour order, Essex Police has confirmed.
In a statement, a spokesman said: “The offences have all occurred within the last month.
"The man was charged and remanded to appear before the next available court.
“We continue to work with shops and businesses to prevent and detect shop theft across Colchester.”
