Travellers on the A12 near Colchester will need patience as a broken-down vehicle sees lane closures.
One lane on the A12 Londonbound between J28 and J27 has been closed after a vehicle had broken down on the busy road.
The incident was first reported at 9.48am this morning and further delays are likely, until the scene has been cleared.
It adds to the usual busy traffic in the area, and Essex Highways is monitoring the situation to give updates as soon as possible.
