A WOMAN has been charged following a brutal city centre assault which left a victim in hospital.
Bibi Stone, 38, will appear before magistrates on Monday to face accusations of causing grievous bodily harm, burglary and criminal damage.
Alex Potter, 32, is yet to be arrested and police have released an appeal in a bid to track him down.
He is described as having dark hair and stubble but should not be approached by any members of the public who see him.
Instead, the public should contact the police on 999 and quote incident number 470 of April 13.
The incident took place at the junction of St John’s Walk and Abbeygate Street on Saturday at 11.05am.
The victim sustained injuries to his stomach and head and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A police cordon was then set up in St John’s Green where officers continued to carry out their enquiries over several hours on Saturday afternoon.
Anyone who has any information about the incident should contact the police on 101.
