A man who has ran every day for the last four years has completed a charity running challenge.

Tim Clifton faced the final part of his '5 in 5' challenge on Sunday.

The challenge involves five running events in five weeks, the last of which was the Camuplodunum trail around Colchester.

He began the challenge to raise money for St Helena Hospice, where he works, on March 17.

It marked four years since he began running everyday on March 21, 2020.

Donations can be made to the hospice via Just Giving.

He said: "The Zig Zag Easter Marathon took its toll on my feet with huge blisters, tearing and swelling.

"Luckily my feet had healed enough to the point that I could enjoy London Landmarks Half last Sunday."

He added: "I'm not just running miles; I'm running with purpose.

"I run for every patient, every family and every moment of care St Helena Hospice provides."

Mr Clifton has completed the Colchester Half Marathon, Dave Wright's 15 Mile Road Race, the ZigZag Easter Marathon and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

By April 28, he will have run on 1,500 consecutive days.
