A BUSINESS owner from Halstead is "thrilled" after her spa received a prestigious award.
Danielle Alen is the co-owner and general manager of the Gainsborough Health Club and Spa which picked up an E2 Media excellence award last week.
The marketing agency uses its Awards of Excellence scheme to help spotlight businesses and their achievements across numerous industries.
The Gainsborough Health Club and Spa, based in Cavendish Road, near Sudbury, won the award due to its “unparalleled service” and its “consistent efforts to go above and beyond” an E2 Media Awards spokesman said.
Danielle, who manages the business in a grade II listed converted barn, is over the moon.
She said: “We are thrilled and honoured to be recognised for this award in excellence.
“This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team.
“We are grateful for this recognition and remain committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our members and guests.”
The 15th century barn offers beautiful views of the countryside, and the spa has a range of treatment rooms available, relaxation rooms, a sauna and steam room.
It also has a large swimming pool.
Many different spa and beauty treatments are available, including body massages and facials.
The business has been running for more than ten years, with Danielle, becoming the co-owner in January 2020.
A spokesman for the E2 Media Awards of Excellence said: “We think it’s important to recognise organisations that are bringing something new and innovative to their marketplace.
“They don’t have to be the biggest but have to be an organisation that is trying to offer something different to what is already out there and above all they must offer a great product or service.
“We feel that the Gainsborough Health Club and Spa ticks all the boxes and is a worthy winner of our award.”
The health club and spa will be launching its summer spa day offers at the end of April and there is currently no joining fee when signing up to its facilities.
