BUS services have been cancelled as a result of continuing high tides which have cut-off Mersea Island.
Due to high tides at the Strood, bus operator First Bus has pulled several services operating between Mersea Island and Osborne Street, in Colchester.
The 86 service from Mersea at 12.16pm, 1.16pm, 2.16pm and 3.16 pm, as well as the service from Osborne Street at 11.35am, 12.35pm, 1.35pm and 2.45pm have all been cancelled.
The operator has apologised to passengers for any inconvenience caused.
Essex Highways has been closed at around 1.20pm due to the high tide.

The cancellations come after emergency services were called to The Strood on Monday and freed a member of the public, as four vehicles became stranded.
