AN exciting new ‘business camp’ for children has been opened to help young people in Colchester develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Lyndee Oscar, managing director of BussinessKids, an educational company based in Colchester, said that in a world where academic achievements “often take precedence” that early exposure to business ideas can help children discover their passion.

Lyndee offered a weekly camp this Easter to help young people find their entrepreneurial spirit while making a positive impact in the world.

She added: "The BusinessKids UK Camp provides a platform for young entrepreneurs to explore their passions and turn their ideas into reality”.

“We are proud to support these aspiring future business leaders whilst they embark on their entrepreneurial journey."

The next camp will be next summer and will conclude with a ‘Buisnesskids Expo’ which will showcase the inspiring enterprises created by the young participants of the entrepreneurial camp.

One young participant even brought home-baked and heart-shaped cupcakes to donate to the British Heart Foundation – giving back to the community.

BusinessKids also runs workshops in schools such as a recent enterprise day in Stanway school where students had to create the “perfect prom” for students on a limited budget.
