A MAN from Witham has been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault in an Essex city.
Liam Amadi, of Snowdrop Close, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with attempted murder, Essex Police said.
The 22-year-old has also been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon after a serious assault in Springfield Road, Chelmsford, on Sunday.
A man in his 20s remains in hospital after he was taken to hospital with a single stab wound, police added.
An 18-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of affray has been released on bail until June 18.
Essex Police have appealed for anyone with information which could assist the investigation to come forward.
