POLICE have issued a CCTV image as part of an ongoing sexual assault probe after a man was allegedly sexually assaulted while sleeping on a train.
Detectives looking into an alleged sexual assault on board a train have released a CCTV image in connection with the investigations.
The incident happened at about 7.30pm on Monday, March 4.
The British Transport Police say a man was travelling to Colchester on the train from London Liverpool Street.
He reportedly woke up to find a man next to him sexually assaulting him.
Detectives would like to speak to the man in the image who they believe may have information that could help their investigation.
If anyone recognises him they should report to the police.
A spokesman said: “Anyone who recognises this man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 325 of March 5.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
