A COLCHESTER man has been charged following a crackdown on driving offences across the country.
As part of Operation Grip, Essex Police officers from the Roads Policing Unit worked with colleagues in the Operational Support Group to provide additional high visibility patrols across the Essex.
On Sunday, March 3, they focussed on Brentwood, Colchester and Clacton.
Ioan Brisc, 26 of Osborne Street, Colchester, was charged with failing to provide a specimen and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 21.
He was also charged with possession of drugs.
Two other men are also set to appear in court following the patrols.
Ayode Adeyemo, 49, of Tyndal Way, Dartford was also charged with failing to provide a specimen after he was stopped on the A13 near Brentwood and will appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on the same date.
Ion Breabin, 39, of Wallace Road, Grays will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 10, where he will answer a charge of driving whilst unfit through drink.
