STAFF at a pet groomers in Colchester slept in a kennel as part of a challenge to raise cash for an animal rescue organisation.
Animal Magic dog groomer and kennel worker Arlo-Leo Smith and manager Kaeli Brown are looking to raise £2,000 for GKK Animal Rescue.
The organisation specialises in bully breeds and helps to rescue dogs before providing them with loving homes.
According to Arlo, the dogs would otherwise be put to sleep without GKK Animal Rescue’s intervention.
In order to try and generate the funding, Arlo and Kaeli recently spent the night in a kennel, helping so far raise more than £300.
Arlo said: “I thought this experience was amazing and I would 100 per cent do this again.
“We wanted to do our part to support this charity so they can continue to do the vital work that they do everyday.”
According to Gina Shaw, founder of GKK Animal Rescue, the charity currently has four dogs in their kennels but "the fees are mounting up".
On the fundraising page, she said: "If you can't help us by offering to foster, please donate."
