THE housing market in Colchester appears to be as active as ever with homes being sold at pace and regularly listed.

According to Zoopla, the average sold for price for a property in Colchester in the last 12 months was £311,943.

Detached homes have the highest average price of £476,451 while flats have the lowest average price of £168,605.

But where in Colchester has the most homes up for sale? 

One of the roads with the most homes on the market is Maldon Road, which currently has three homes up for sale.

A four-bedroom, two-bathroom home near the junction with Shrub End Road and Drury Road is one of those up for sale for £700,000.

The detached house has a separate lounge, kitchen and dining room and a garage connecting to the home.

Another in Maldon Road is a six-bedroom, two-bathroom semi-detached home marketed at £775,000.

This Edwardian home is based in the middle of Maldon Road. It has a basement and a separate lounge, sitting room, dining room and kitchen.

The rest of the home is set out across three floors and the outside space is a Mediterranean-style garden described as a “true oasis”.

The third house on the market in Maldon Road is a three-bedroom semi-detached house with an asking price of £485,000.

Lexden Road is another road in Colchester with two homes on the market.

One is a five-bedroom, semi-detached home up for sale for £1.25million and the other is a four-bedroom townhouse looking for £950,000.

Other roads in Colchester with multiple houses on the market include Gladiator Way, which has two four-bedroom homes on the market, both for £500,000, and King Harold Road, also with two four-bedroom homes looking for offers of more than £500,000.
