MAGISTRATES have fined a business owner after she failed to file accounts on time to Companies House.
Helena Boyle, 78, is the registered director of Counselling Solutions Limited and, according to Companies House, has been the registered director since the business was incorporated in 1998.
The business is entirely separate from Counselling Solutions Consultancy Limited, which was incorporated in 2013 and is also based in Colchester.
According to court files, Boyle, of Greenstead Road, Colchester, failed to deliver a copy of company accounts for the financial year ending July 2022.
Counselling Solutions, which has its registered office listed in Reigate, Surrey, had been due file its accounts by the end of April last year.
The company's offices had previously been registered in Winnock Road, Colchester, up until February last year.
Officials at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court met on Thursday, February 8, to consider the case in Boyle’s absence.
There, officials proved the case and fined Boyle a total of £220.
Further charges of £88 to fund victim services and £75 in costs were also made, meaning Boyle must pay an overall fee of £383.
Boyle must pay the fee by Tuesday, March 12.
