A NEW street food kiosk is to open at a popular shopping village, giving visitors an "authentic" taste of Italy.
Braintree Village is set to welcome the addition to its food and beverage line-up this February.
Thick or Thin? Piadina will open on Monday, February 12, between Pret A Manger and Barbour.
The independent business offers traditionally crafted Italian flatbread, originating from the Romagna region, with a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan fillings.
Each piadina is customisable due to the brand’s unique variations of dough flatbreads - thick piadina which has a crispy exterior and soft interior, and thin piadina which accentuates the flavours of the carefully selected ingredients.
Thick or Thin? Piadina uses only specially sourced Italian ingredients, including premium meats and cheeses, as well as fresh vegetables and flavourful sauces.
Visitors can choose from a range of piadinas including prosciutto twist, cheesy pistachio and veg stuffle bliss, all of which are crafted from scratch, from dough stretching to the assembling of fillings, in front of the customer.
To celebrate the grand opening on February 12, visitors will be able to receive 40 per cent off all piadinas.
