A NEW restaurant or bar could soon be opening in Colchester’s city centre, injecting a new lease of life into a former eatery.
Naka Thai, an exotic Thai food restaurant, relocated to in Haven Road, Colchester, after vacating its former East Hill home, a two-storey Grade-II listed building.
Since then the site has remained empty, but that could be set to change after Larraine Palmer-Higgins applied for a premises licence for property.
If granted by Colchester Council, the building will be allowed to act as a bar and restaurant, meaning it would be able to sell alcohol and food.
Any feedback regarding the application must be made in writing to Colchester Council’s licensing team by February 23.
Feedback can be sent to licensing.team@colchester.gov.uk or via letters which should be sent to Colchester Council, Rowan House, 33 Sheepen Road, CO3 3WG.
