A GANG of young men wearing face covering reportedly stole alcohol from a supermarket in a Colchester village.
Eyewitnesses have claimed a group of about six to seven teenagers were seen heading towards the off-licence section of Tiptree's Tesco Superstore on Thursday.
Once there, they are said to have snatched bottles of alcohol before allegedly fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
It is not yet known the value of the alcohol reportedly taken during the incident, said to have taken place at about 4.15pm.
One eyewitness told the Gazette: “They were a proper gang you have never seen before in Tiptree.
"They were probably” aged 17 to 19 but some could have been younger."
Tesco and Essex Police have been contacted for a comment.
