A SHOW celebrating the work of a beloved author is coming to Colchester later this month.

Author and comedian Marc Burrows is inviting audiences to Colchester Arts Centre to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.

The Magic of Terry Pratchett show will be a multimedia comic lecture exploring the late author’s influences, rise to fame, impact and life journey to become a beloved and prolific storyteller.

The event, which was performed in the comedy section at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023, also covers Sir Terry's time as a school librarian, trainee journalist and his death in 2015.

It will examine the activism he was involved with toward the end of his life.

Sir Terry wrote 41 Discworld novels, published from 1983 to 2015.

As a fan of his works, Marc penned the first-ever biography of Sir Terry in 2020 which went on to win a Locus Award.

The multimedia live show is based on the book and created with the full endorsement and support of Narrativia which protects and promotes Sir Terry’s work in association with his estate.

The show, on February 20, will incorporate elements of  Rob Wilkins’ official biography, Terry Pratchett: A Life in Footnotes.
