CHARITIES and groups are being urged to apply for new grants to make a difference in their communities.

The All In Alliance groups, created by Eastlight Community Homes, are an opportunity for residents to join together and enhance their neighbourhoods and communities.

The £12,000 funding will help support groups across Braintree, Witham, Halstead and Colchester.

There are three grants available in each area for £1,250, £1,000 and £750.

Residents will be invited to vote for their favourite by attending All In Alliance meetings in March.

These are at Spring Lodge Community Centre in Witham on March 20, Glebe Community Hall in Braintree on March 21, the Oak Tree Centre in Colchester on March 26 and the Empire Theatre in Halstead on March 28.

All meetings are from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Eastlight spokesman Lisa Harper said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for groups to apply for funding to support the vital work they do in our towns and cities.

“The community grant applications are open to all projects making a difference to the lives of those living in our communities, and we encourage people to apply.”

Applications should be made by Friday, February 16, at bit.ly/3vRgOBM.
