THE frontman of a famous Gaelic and African sound fusion project will be making his way to a Colchester music venue next month.

N'faly Kouyaté, the frontman of Afro Celt Sound System will be bringing his Ré-Génération Tour to Colchester Arts Centre.

The Belgium-based artist and his ensemble will be performing songs from his new solo project in the intimate setting on February 18.

His UK tour was kicked-off with the release of his brand new single, Premiers Pas, which is a powerful, political track offering a reflection on Africa's history and thirst for freedom.

N'faly said: "I am raising a cry with 'Premiers Pas' to demand total autonomy for Africa.

"This song is the expression of the determination of an entire continent to finally take control of its destiny."

Doors for the gig open 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm, with seated tickets costing £18.

A spokesman for Colchester Arts Centre said: "Join them for an unforgettable night filled with vibrant rhythms, soul-stirring harmonies, and a celebration of cultural diversity.

"Feel the energy and be transported by N'Faly’s virtuoso performances on the stage, where his infectious passion for music will ignite your spirit."
